Summer break is a great time for students to read. Not only is summer reading a fun way to pass the time but it also leads to academic success by developing a solid core of knowledge. It expands the horizons of children as they learn more about people and cultures as well as improves vocabulary and spelling by exposing children to new words. Reading during the summer continues to strengthen reading skills developed during the year.

In preparation for the 2012-2013 school year, all students must bring the school supplies requested by their grade level teachers. To view the the supply list, click on the appropriate link below.

The OCHS and NOHS coaches and players will be hosting a youth camp for girls, ages 7-13, on the following dates: Tues. May 29 through Fri. June 1. The times are from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on each of those days. The cost is $90 per child and you may register through the Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department.
